Choosing the correct grille or register depends on both the duct opening size and the space available for the finished product. Please refer to the Buying Guide and product dimensions on the Amazon listing for the product you purchased.
If you're still unsure about sizing or fit, contact us with your product size/SKU and, if possible, a photo and measurements of the installation area. We'll be happy to help.
MDF Return Air Grilles
Our MDF return air grilles are factory-primed white, smooth and ready for paint. You may paint them to match your baseboards, trim, or wall colour.
Solid Wood Floor Registers
Our solid wood floor registers are supplied unfinished, allowing you to stain or finish them to match your flooring. Because wood species, grain, and existing flooring finishes can affect the final colour, we recommend testing your chosen stain or finish before finishing the entire register.
All surfaces of the register — including the top, bottom, and edges — must be properly sealed before installation. If staining the register, an appropriate protective clear coat should be applied after staining.

Solid Wood Floor Registers
All surfaces of unfinished solid wood registers — including the top, bottom, and edges — must be properly sealed before installation. Clean finished registers with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and avoid excessive moisture or harsh cleaning products.
MDF Return Air Grilles
Clean painted MDF grilles with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid excessive moisture or soaking the MDF.
